waiting

The neurologist called me back a couple of days ago to tell me that after consulting with the radiologist on my scans, they both agree for me to be referred to a neurosurgeon.  They are supposed to be getting back with me today on who the neurosurgeon will be as well as when it will be.  So now we are praying over who that neurosurgeon will be in addition we are praying over who to go to for a second opinion.  We have decided to take whatever appointment we can get with whichever neurosurgeon they refer us to, simply because it will be faster.  However, after that we are going to go to someone with more expertise and a broader reputation in this area.  We've had many many people tell us about a specific Dr. at Duke in North Carolina who is supposed to be wonderful.  He is the same neurosurgeon who just recently operated on Ted Kennedy, so apparently he knows his stuff.  We've had some other suggestions and are praying over all of them right now to see where the Lord would have us go, as well as the Lord mapping out a way ahead of us for insurance and all other details to fall into place.

In this season of the unknown I am reminded over and over again how steadfast our God is.  God has allowed me to be comforted and encouraged in countless ways and through countless people.  The headaches have gotten better, which I believe is just part of my healing process! What our enemy purposes for despair or discouragement we know that God is faithful to turn that into favor and promises...which is exactly what I know He is actively doing in our lives! Thank you for your prayers...they are powerful!!
