4 months!!

Oh my goodness, my sweet little baby won't stop growing up!! He turned 4months old this past Sunday. I feel like I say this every post but he is changing and growing and discovering in so many ways!! Noah had another busy month and lots of family time. Eric was in a wedding earlier this month and it worked out to where my Sister and her family came in town from California around the same time. So Noah and I headed to Alabama, while daddy headed to Texas. We missed him a ton, but kept ourselves entertained with lots of cousin time and Noah getting to hang out with his great-grandparents and his great great grandmother! He did wonderful on the trip and adjusted well to sleeping at different houses. Another big milestone for Noah/mommy was his first night at home while mommy & daddy had a date night out :) My birthday was yesterday and my sweet hubby had a wonderful night planned, including my parents coming into town to keep Noah for the night. Noah did wonderful with his date night with his Nannie and Pawpaw....and I did great too :) It was wonderful to go out with my best friend for a perfect date night out and know that Noah was having fun at home completely taken care of. Noah at four months old you are:

- Rolling over!! You only do it when you want but you have rolled from back to belly & belly to back.
- Laughing out loud
- Bearing all your weight on your chunky little legs...you have a new play station from Nannie & Pawpaw that you love to show this skill of at
- Sleeping 9-10 hours at night with an occasional 10-11
- Singing/cooing all the time...especially when going to sleep for naps or when you wake up for your morning feed...sweetest thing ever.
- Taking 3 naps a day
- Teething/chewing/drooling on everything
- You haven't had your 4mo. appt yet but you weigh about 15lbs and are somewhere around 26 1/2 inches tall
- Starting to crinkle your nose
- Trying to blow bubbles
- Wearing size 2 diapers, just barely
- Turning your head to mommy & daddy's voices
- You wake up in the best mood in the morning with lots of singing and HUGE smiles as soon as you see mommy...best way in the world to say good morning :)

Noah you are such an incredible joy to our lives. We are blown away at the blessing you are and are humbled to know that we are your mommy and daddy. You are the happiest, sweetest, most content baby. You have the biggest smile. We pray for you to grow up knowing the love of Christ and being daily transformed by that love. We love you more than we know how to say!!

Milestones

Sweet Noah has hit some more milestones this week!! It is still crazy to me what all can happen in just a weeks time with this little guy and how much can change!! Noah has been laughing here and there for a few weeks now but just started laughing in longer sequences this week. There's a difference between saying "oh did you hear him, he just laughed" and him going on for minutes laughing...I love love love it!! I'll post a video at the end of the post of him laughing at my mom mid-diaper change :)

Another milestone we hit this week is dropping our "dreamfeed". Noah now goes to sleep for good between 8:30-9 and has been sleeping 10-11 hours...wooohooooo!! His naps are improving, he just woke up from a 2 hour nap which is seriously a miracle for us! He's eating mostly at 3 hr increments during the day with one 4 hour stretch. We've also dropped his 4th nap which he loves. This child loves being awake and active! I'll post more with his 4month post next week...cannot believe he's already 4months old!!

3 Months Old!!

Wow, cannot believe we have a 3 month old. I feel like that sounds like such a big thing haha. This sweet little man of ours gets more fun each and everyday with new sounds, new milestones, and more of his precious personality coming out. Noah has had a busy time from month 2 to 3. He's been busy learning how to hold his neck up AND...drumroll please...sleep THROUGH the night, woohoo!! He is in every way, a blessing in our lives and we thank God he's our baby!! I had an incredible first mothers day thanks to my wonderful hubby & baby boy. Eric gave me an incredible DVD (yes I cried my eyes out watching it) of some videos of us being pregnant and then Noah actually being here...AMAZING, along with a massage and a gift card...such a wonderful day! We grilled out and watched the DVD several times :).

Noah got to go to his first braves game last week! He was in love with all the pretty lights but definitely not a fan of trying to sleep in all the crazy noise. Sweet boy did great though and had a blast at his first big game. Noah is doing better and better at tummy time and pushing up with all his little might. Noah also got to go visit his Nannie and PawPaw in birmingham this past weekend for a visit. Eric's grandad passed away unexpectedly and was away for the funeral, so we went to Alabama. We hate that his grandad didn't get to meet his great grandson but we are so thankful he's walking streets of gold right now!!

Another month gone by and we are even more in love with our sweet guy!! So to sum it up Noah you are:

- smiling ALLLL the time
- singing/cooing all the time...your little duck lips are so cute doing this!
- sleeping 8-8 1/2 hours at night most of the time
- you are almost 14lbs. weighing in around 13lb 14oz.
- i'll have to measure you later for length
- you love your hands
- you are showing signs of a little attitude, you let us know if you want to stand instead of sit, or turn towards a window, etc.
- you are showing signs of noticing your puppy, Meco
- you are wearing size 2 diapers, 3-6 month clothes
- you are holding your head up during tummy time
- following objects back & forth
- turning towards voices
- trying so hard to find your giggle...I think you've almost got it...you've given us a little preview a time or two.

let the pictures begin:

2 months old

Our sweet guy is growing growing growing!! We cannot even begin to say how much of a blessing this little man is to our lives!! We thank Jesus for him every day!! Noah has changed so much just in the past week. It's crazy to see how much they can grow just from one sunday to the next! Noah is talking or "cooing" like crazy now, we are waiting any day now for his laugh to emerge. You can see it in his HUGE goofy smile that he is trying to figure our where his giggle is. He is smiling nonstop and interacting with us all the time. Sweet little man had to get his shots today :(. He did great...mommy did not. It was in a word...pitiful. He cried immediately and cried harder than we've every heard him cry. After about 5 minutes he finally calmed down, had his lunch, and after a few sweet Noah smiles went to sleep.

We had a wonderful 1st easter with our little buddy. My mom and dad were in town and put together Noah's first easter basket complete with some cute new clothes, a bunny bib, and a beautiful piggy bank.

Noah is doing great with his head support and pretty much holds it up on his own when you're holding him. He LOOOVES his legs and is having so much fun bearing weight on them...he's very strong in his chunky little legs. He loves having daddy play guitar while mommy & daddy sing. Mommy has him strumming along with daddy...he loves it! He has found his legs and tries to munch on them as a snack here and there. Noah is in 75th percentile for weight (12lb 7oz.) and 90th percentile for height (24 1/4 in). Noah is wearing size 1 diapers, 3 month clothes, and sleeping usually 6-7 hours at night with an occasional 5hr here and there. He is such an incredible joy in our lives and we are loving every little bit of him every day!! Happy two months Noah Everett...your mommy and daddy are so blessed to be yours!!

7 weeks and counting

This week held some disruptions for sweet little Noah. We had our Spring youth retreat to the mountains...Noah in tow. I was very nervous about how he would do, how it would mess up his schedule & routine, not to mention being around so many kids at one time. Thank you Jesus the little man did absolutely great!! He spent pretty much the whole time in my moby, but he did stay on schedule, and his night sleep averaged 5-6 hrs both nights. Now that we're back I can see the effects of the retreat as he is trying to figure out again how to sleep somewhere other than mommy's chest. We're making some progress today...through sleepy eyes and lots of "shhh"ing :).
Noah has started to discover his hands and wants to munch on them as often as he can. He is still smiling a TON. He has found our faces more and more and will follow them and reacts to us much easier. He is doing wonderfully and we are so thankful to Jesus for a healthy growing boy who brings us so much added joy to our days!! Would write more but I have a hungry baby waiting for his dinner date :)

6 weeks!

Noah is officially 6wks and 1 day as of today. So we hit another milestone and like clockwork our little guy went 7hrs between his night feeds last night...giving his mommy 6 straight hours of sleep!! I woke up after 5 thinking ok he's going to wake up any second and the little sweetie kept snoozing for another 2 hours, thank you Jesus haha. We are definitely still working on our nap times and working through Noah not having to have me standing by his crib to fall asleep. It really is cute though the little chunk will cry, I'll come in to "shhh" him, he'll see me, and immediately the crying turns into a huge fat man goofy smile...making it impossible to be frustrated at his cute chubby self. I know he'll get it eventually. In the meantime I am loving every single second being this childs mommy. Even in the sleep deprivation, mounds of laundry. spit up, and diapers, I am overwhelmed with love for this child and forever grateful to a loving God for entrusting him to us. He's our best little buddy!! Here's a pic from today of those sweet cheeks & one of him and his mommy headed out for a little outing.

Sleep sweet sleep

So progress is ongoing in our new little BW routine. Noah hit a milestone last night, sleeping a 5hr stretch wooohoooo!! This is one proud momma typing right now! Noah is doing great on our routine and is sleeping in his crib for all but one of his naps and still sleeping in his cosleeper at night next to his mommy and daddy. Very thankful for more sleep and that our little man is doing so good learning how to feed-wake-sleep. His hair is growing super fast so his little feaux hawk is fading fast. He also officially has little tears. Went in to get him today after he woke up crying from one of his nap and saw sad little tears :(. He now has an instant way to break his momma's heart. He really is such a sweet sweet baby and we are so in love with our precious baby boy!!
